About

I’m Ryan Wright, and I go by 0xwolfe online. I work as a COO, overseeing service delivery, infrastructure, security, and compliance.

Before I moved into operations leadership, I worked hands-on with infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, security, and data centers. I still spend time at that level. When a decision comes up, whether it’s an investment, a process change, a security risk, or a hard implementation, I want to understand the system well enough to make the call myself.

I care a lot about follow-through, because the small decisions around a system usually decide whether the big idea works. A process should make the outcome better or the risk smaller, and when it stops doing that, it gets changed. Very little is ever finished. The best infrastructure is the kind nobody notices, because its complexity never becomes someone else’s problem.

On teams, I want people to know what they’re doing and why, have room to use their judgment, and own the result. The people closest to a problem usually see it first, so their questions should make it up to leadership.

Outside work I’m a tinkerer. I shoot astrophotography, 3D print, experiment with my home network, and collect Pokémon cards (Lucario, always). I’m also into cars, watches, gaming, and hiking. Two cats supervise all of it.

Everything will be fine on a long enough timeline.

I say that a lot. Deal with what’s in front of you, make the best call you can with what you know, and remember that today’s problem is rarely the whole story.
